Nedd's Uncomfortable Challenge

Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge is a national fundraising initiative created by endurance runner and Young Australian of the Year Nedd Brockmann to raise awareness and funds for Australians experiencing homelessness -

 https://www.neddsuncomfortablechallenge.com/

Syndal South Primary School students will take part in this event on Friday 16th October from 2 - 3pm, completing laps around the outside of the school. The school’s goal is to run a total of 1222 laps. This is a chance to be active and raise money for homelessness as well as towards the restoration of our Rocket. Families are welcome to join in by running or walking with the students to contribute to the goal.

We encourage students to get 3 or more sponsors and fill out the sponsor sheet on the form that has been sent home.

Steps

  1. Complete the sponsorship form (Sponsor Name and Amount) and return it to school by Wednesday 14th October.

  2. Participate in the Challenge on Friday 16th October at 2.00pm.

  3. The completed form will be sent home.

  4. Parents collect the money from sponsors.

  5. Return the form and money (can be cash or card paid at the office) by Friday 24th October.

Volunteers Needed

We require parent volunteers to assist with the event by standing at the mid point of each street next to the footpath to supervise the students running/walking to ensure that they don’t venture onto the road. If you have a current Working with Children Check and Induction and are able to assist please sign up here - volunteersignup.org/EX7QW.

Please contact the school office or Mr Riley if you have questions.
