Year 5 Spotlight

Year 5 Camp
Last week, the Year 5 students, along with eager FPS staff and four helpful parents ventured to the YMCA Anglesea Adventure Camp for two nights. The students faced a number of ‘challenge by choice’ activities that included; the giant swing, canoeing, mountain bike riding, orienteering and hut building. It was excellent to see the students challenge themselves at their own level of comfort.
Exploring and playing games on the beach, filling free time with endless games of ‘ga-ga ball’ and using other excellent facilities was great to see. Nighttime did not stop the fun. On the first night, students participated in Tom and Lauren’s trivia challenge. The second night, students had the choice of watching a movie or watching some of the AFL footy final.
Thank you to the staff (Naomi, Blake, Tom, Lauren, Cathy and Gabi) and parents (Jana, Brenda, Lila and Yuki) for helping make the camp a great success. Well done to the amazing Year 5 students for their efforts.
