BYCS Hoodies

This term, we purchased personalised BYCS hoodies for our Year 12 students, featuring “Class of 26” along with their individual names printed on the back (see photo right).

We are also offering all other students the opportunity to purchase a BYCS hoodie with the front logo only (see far right photo) at the reduced price of $20.00. A Compass notification will be sent to parents and guardians with details on how to place orders and make payment. Sample sizes will be available for students to try on if needed.

Music Room- Coburg

We are excited to introduce music into our Coburg program and are currently planning the redevelopment of an existing workshop into a fully equipped music studio. This space will feature an acoustically treated rehearsal room, a dedicated control room, and a flexible learning area. Architectural plans are now being finalised, with construction anticipated to begin at the start of Term Two.

Water coolers at Richmond

This term, we installed a new water unit in the Common Room at Richmond, allowing both staff and students to access filtered water at any time and conveniently refill their bottles without needing to use the kitchen.

In addition, a hot/cold water unit was installed in the staff kitchen, replacing the previous Billi system due to its ongoing high maintenance costs.

Soft Closers on Classroom Doors at Richmond

Students recently brought to our attention that the classroom doors on Level One at Richmond were frequently slamming, which can be both disruptive and triggering for students and staff. In response, we have installed soft-close mechanisms on all four doors to prevent this from occurring.

Netball Court Refurbishment

Our ongoing project to design and deliver a new outdoor, competition-grade netball court with Level Two floodlighting has now been released for tender. Following a tender process a builder has now been appointed.

We are expecting works to begin in the next two or three weeks.  As shown in the image, the new court will be oriented east–west and located along our southern boundary, adjacent to the swimming pool.
