Year 6 Inter-School Sport - Winter Finals

On Friday the 19th June, Greenvale Primary School hosted St. Carlo's Primary School for the Greenvale District Winter Sports Grand Finals. We had 4 teams competing on the day, including, girls' netball, boys' netball, girls' footy and boys' footy. The teams were cheered on with plenty of encouragement from the rest of the Year 6 cohort, alongside many parents. All students showed tremendous sportspersonship and school spirit, representing GPS with pride! 

Netball Results: 

Congratulations to the Girls Netball Team, they won their Grand Final 13-2. 

Well done Vivienne, Melike, Gauri, Amelia, Sophia, Jayda, Summer and Sienna! 

Another congratulations to the Boys Netball Team, they won their Grand Final, 20-3. Well done Miles, Caelan, Noah, Ryan, Ethan, James, Nivein and Oliver. 

Both teams will now compete at the Divisional Netball Finals on the 22nd July at Boardman Stadium in Sunbury. 

Footy Results

The Boys Football team unfortunately lost their Grand Final, 8-33. It was a hard fought game. Well done to Oscar, Archie, Emir, Ameer, Noah, Lenny, Selim, Khoder, Viraaj, Zayn and Mahmood for their amazing effort this term!

The Girls football team also unfortunately lost their Grand Final, with their score being 5-15. Well done to Zayiah, Mary, Miriam, Zara, Sienna. Sinem, Summer Madina, Sophia M, Sofia E and Taylor for a great term of footy matches!
