Foundation/ Year One News

Foundation News
We have enjoyed a fantastic Term 2 in Foundation! It was wonderful to see so many families visit our classrooms last week and take a look at some of the work from this term. This week, students have reflected on the term and shared what they enjoyed most about learning in the classroom.
Update:
Students will not be taking home readers for the holidays. Students are encouraged to read books they have at home or to visit a local library.
Year One News
As part of our recount writing unit, the Year 1 students have been busy creating their own grass heads! We are patiently waiting for their "hair" to begin sprouting and are excited to see how they change over the coming weeks. The grass heads have provided a wonderful real-life experience for students to write about, as recounts focus on describing events and experiences that have already happened. Students will be bringing their grass heads home for the holidays so they can continue to care for them and watch their grassy hairstyles grow.
End of Term Reminders
- As we approach the end of term, please remember to return all home readers and library books by Friday. Returning books on time helps us organise and prepare resources for next term. Thank you for your support in helping us keep track of our books and maintain our library.
- Crazy Hair Day - Thursday
- End of Term Friday 2:30 dismissal
We hope you all have a wonderful break with your children. Looking forward to seeing you all in Term Three!
