Free Autism Workshop – for Parents/Carers
Positive Partnerships are running a government funded autism workshop for parents/carers.
This workshop is for parents, unpaid carers, grandparents and kinship carers to learn about autism and ways to strengthen the partnership between home and school. (Please note: your child does not need a formal diagnosis for you to attend).
The workshop will cover the following topics:
- Diversity of autism
- Understanding sensory processing
- Understanding behaviour
- Working together.
- Dates: Tuesday 25th & Wednesday 26th November
- Time: 9.30am – 2.30pm
- Location: CERES Community Environment Park, Brunswick East
- Free morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Positive Parenting – Group Online Sessions
This group supports parents to build strategies to help their children; manage their emotions, build emotional resilience, build self-esteem and independence, develop problem solving skills, develop life and communication skills, and build healthy relationships.
- Dates: weekly for 5 weeks, commencing 10/11/25
- Time: 10am – 11am

Fairfield Village Greening – Fashion Competition
Celebrate sustainable fashion and show off your unique style!
Shop at second-hand stores across Darebin and put together a full outfit. You can leave the clothes as they are, or get creative by decorating or altering them. Note: You don't have to live in Darebin but you do have to shop at Darebin second-hand shops and you have to be 18 years plus.
Make a short video showing how you found and styled your outfit – no need for pro skills, just have fun!
- Competition: Closes Jan 2, 2026
- Display: The six best outfits will be displayed at Fairfield Library in February 2026
