National Recycling Week: 10 – 14 November

Did you know that National Recycling Week is held from 10 – 14 November?

With this week fast approaching, this year Eco Club will focus on a couple of difficult to recycle items. We will be collecting:

• Shoes that cannot be donated or gifted (e.g. broken or unwearable). Please read the sign carefully before placing items in the collection box.
• Textas that are broken or no longer usable.

This is a perfect opportunity for a clean-out! Collection boxes will be located at the main school office during National Recycling Week only.

** Any other time of the year, you can find shoe recycling here and texta recycling at Officeworks. 

Frog Bog Mural & Veggie Garden Update

Thank you to Corrin for returning to FPS to create the beautiful mural for our Frog Bog and garden, located behind the WSC campus! Eco Club thought it was wonderful and they really enjoyed spending time in the space. 

We also checked on the veggie garden to see if our new plants survived the wind on Wednesday and we’re happy to report they’re all doing well! Some lucky teachers were even gifted some fresh parsley and thyme.
