The first Kids Corner for the year have been written by Mick (Year 3), who is sharing all about his amazing trip to Thailand.
Summer Holidays - Trip to Thailand
Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday break. Mine was amazing as travelled to Thailand, also known as the “Land of Smiles”. Have you ever been there? It was a special trip for me as I got to see my uncle, aunt, and cousin after a year.
Thailand has now become one of my favourite places in the world. I saw sandy beaches, colourful markets, Buddhist temples, and cultural performances. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting an elephant sanctuary where I fed bananas to the elephants, watched them bath and play in the mud.
Another unforgettable experience was when I went parasailing for the first time. It was amazing to fly above the deep blue ocean, I cannot wait to do it again someday. And who wouldn’t love to ride on a Tuk-Tuk? Tuk- Tuk is an open-air taxi and every time I get on Tuk-Tuk it feels like I am on a fun and windy ride.
During my trip, I learned a few Thai words like “Khwa” for right, “Say” for left and “Sa-wa-dee” for hello and good night.
I have wonderful memories of Thailand and am looking forward to making more memories on my next trip. Maybe Japan. We will see!!!!
I am looking forward to starting another great year at GWPS. Thank you.
Kind Regards,
Mick (Year 3)
