News from Year Six

Physical Maths Day

On Wednesday, 15th October, we sent 8 students to compete in a Physical Maths day against students from other schools.  Mrs Cooper accompanied them on the day and was especially impressed with them all.  Here is what she told staff when she got back:

"Wow! What a day! The kids' amazing behaviour and resilience were on full display. They competed with grace and passion. Noah Lord came 2nd overall, and Harry Lord came 1st  out of all the students that were there. Noah's team also came third overall.

I was so proud of all the kids that attended!  Overall an impressive performance."

Swimming

It's been great to see the positive attitude and the efforts to do their best displayed by students at the swimming this week.  

Graduation

Date:  Wednesday 1o December

Time:  6- 9pm

Venue:  Warburton Golf Club

Approximate costs:  $30 per adult   $16 primary students and younger

As we have a larger group of students graduating this year, we may need to limit the number of tickets per family.  We have the capacity for each student to bring an additional 5 guests (6 counting themselves).  However, if some require less, others may have more.  To get an idea of what people are hoping to do, we will send out a Google Form in the next few days asking for your preferred number of tickets.  

We are looking for parent volunteers to help organise the Graduation event this year.  The main task is to organise and set up the decorations on the day of the event.  Please contact Mrs Traynor if you are interested in helping out with this.

Orienteering

Congratulations to all the students who participated in the Interschool Orienteering event on Friday.  Our Year 6s did very well.  Overall, our school was the winning school on the day.
