Prayer

As we move towards Holy Week and Easter, we pray for strength, guidance and patience in a world that is constantly changing.

Jesus, the soldiers are becoming impatient. This is taking longer than they wanted it to. They are afraid you won't make it to the hill where you will be crucified. As you grow weaker, they grab a man out of the crowd and make him help carry your cross. He was just watching what was happening, but all of a sudden he is helping you carry your cross. This person’s name is Simon from Cyrene. At first, Simon did not want to do it because he did not know You. Simon is strong, and the cross is heavy. Jesus, You look at Simon then You continue on the long road, carrying the cross together. 

Let Us Pray:

Sometimes I see people who need my help and I am not sure what to do. Jesus make me strong when I have to do something hard, and help me to be there when I know others could use my help.
