Year 4 Highlight

Camp - CYC Forest Edge

On the morning of Tuesday the 11th March, the Year 4 students left school and embarked on a two-day camp to CYC Forest Edge. It was an exciting and memorable experience, filled with adventure, teamwork, and challenges!

From the moment we arrived, students eagerly embraced the activities on offer. One of our activities was the ‘Flying Fox’, which was a definite highlight, with students soaring through the air and conquering any fears they had. Another activity was ‘Archery’ which tested patience and precision, as students aimed for the target and improved their skills with every shot!

Our third activity was to construct a ‘Bush Hut’, using natural materials.  The students had to problem-solve together to ensure that their Bush Hut was waterproof! Lots of the students got drenched though! We also went on a short bush walk, where we explored nature and enjoyed the forest surroundings on the campgrounds.

The students returned to school on Wednesday the 12th March, with big smiles, new friendships, and a great sense of accomplishment. Camp was an unforgettable experience that challenged everyone to step out of their comfort zones, work together, and make lasting memories. We can’t wait for the next adventure!
