A New Chapter Begins: Year 9 Students Step Into Their Future

There is something truly special about the moment a student first walks through the gates of Brigidine Campus. For our Year 9 cohort, that moment is almost here - and it promises to be the beginning of something exciting.

It all starts on Thursday 4 June with the Morrisby Career Profiling assessment.  Morrisby helps students discover what they are passionate about and may enjoy as a future career. Using scientifically developed psychometric tools, it builds a picture of each student's unique strengths, interests and personality - and matches these to real career and education pathways.

The results open up powerful conversations around subject selection, university options and vocational training - conversations that can shape the next decade of a young person's life. Parents also receive access to their child's profile, making it a shared starting point for discussions at home and with our Careers team.

With that foundation in place, students then head to Brigidine Campus for Day 2 of the program on June 5 - and the real adventure begins.

From the moment they arrive on the front lawn in their house groups, the transition day is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence and open students' eyes to the possibilities ahead. Six fast-paced information rotations give every student a chance to explore what senior schooling actually involves - from VCE and VCE VM pathways, to ATAR and study scores, maths options, VET subjects and the full range of subject choices on offer. Students will meet their 2027 House Leader and work in House Groups for the day.

Students also hear directly from Year 10 and Year 12 peers about what life at Brigidine really looks like from the inside - the subjects they love, the study habits that work, and the advice they wish they'd had.

And yes - there is dodgeball. Year 9 vs Year 12. (We expect Year 9 to bring their best!)

We cannot wait to welcome Year 9 to Brigidine. The journey starts now.
