The Big Freeze Echuca Moama is Back!

After a long break, Big Freeze Echuca Moama is returning to town - and it's picking up right where we left off: raising vital funds to help FightMND beat the Beast that is motor neurone disease (MND).

The Big Freeze Echuca Moama 2026 will be held on Monday 8 June (King’s Birthday) at Rich River Golf Club.

The main attraction of the day will be the Big Freeze slide, but there’s plenty more happening to make it a great community event, including:

⛳ Golf Tournament (with the chance to win a brand new MG car in our Hole-in-One competition)

💰 Dash for Cash

🏌️ Kids Golf Events & Mini Golf

MND is a devastating, progressive disease that gradually takes away a person’s ability to move, speak, eat, and ultimately breathe - often within an average of just 27 months.

Your support can make a real difference. It only takes a minute to donate, and every contribution helps fund vital care for those living with MND, supports research into more effective treatments, and brings us closer to a cure.

Get behind our very own Year 11 Student - Archer Weeks!

At just 17, Archer Weeks is the kind of young man who never shies away from a challenge. A true go‑getter with a big heart, Archer throws himself into every opportunity to make a difference - and this year’s Big Freeze Echuca Moama is no exception.

This cause is deeply personal for him. Archer is sliding in honour of his much‑loved Nan, who passed away from MND in October 2022. Her strength, courage, and spirit continue to inspire him every day, and taking part in the Big Freeze is his way of keeping her legacy alive while helping others facing the same fight. Determined, energetic, and driven by purpose, Archer is proud to be part of a community standing together for MND.

On behalf of Billabongs Not Silos and Djaa Djuwima, we warmly invite you to the launch of Beyond Symbolism, a statewide exhibition bringing together Indigenous material culture held by education and health organisations across Victoria.

Developed in partnership with more than 20 partner organisations, the exhibition explores how institutions can move beyond symbolic gestures toward shared responsibility, reflection and meaningful action. Through Indigenous objects, Beyond Symbolism creates a space for connection, truth-telling and collective commitment across education and health systems.

Thursday 18 June 2026

5:00pm – 7:00pm (Smoking Ceremony and Welcome at 6:00pm)

Djaa Djuwima Gallery, City of Greater Bendigo Visitor Centre

The evening will bring together First Nations leaders, artists, educators, health practitioners and community partners for an opportunity to reflect, connect and commit to meaningful action beyond symbolism.

We encourage you to share this invitation with colleagues and leaders across your organisation who are part of this shared commitment to moving beyond symbolism toward action.
