Confirmation Reflection Day
The Year 6 students participated in a Confirmation Reflection Day on Tuesday, July 21st at the Community of the Holy Name Spirituality Centre in Cheltenham. They spent their day in prayer and reflection and completed activities based around the signs and symbols of Confirmation and the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit. They received letters of support and affirmation from their families, the SJV students, and the staff, which had a powerful impact on them.
Sincere thanks to Fleur Peppard, Elise Fisher, and Chloe Saultry for their help with this day and to Fr. Justin for celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation with the Confirmation candidates.

Congratulations from the St. John Vianney community to Logan Semmel (1/2 KK) and Millie Semmel (Prep) who received the Sacrament of Baptism last weekend.

A Very Special Thank You
Winter Appeal Thank you
The members of the Parkdale East Conference of SVDP would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the Mini Vinnies and the School Community for the very generous donations collected for our Winter Appeal. We packed and distributed 30 hampers for our companions from the donated food collection. Each companion was very appreciative of this wonderful winter bonus to help on these cold days and nights.
The overwhelming collection of clothing, blankets, beanies,etc were delivered to the Soup Van crew who were able to distribute these items to the homeless who appreciated some extra comfort at this time of year.
The gold coin donations from the Pajama Day will go towards supporting the companions in our immediate area with daily needs.
We were all "blown away" by your generosity and once again thank you for supporting us in our day to day work.
Thank you to the Mini Vinnies and their teachers for coordinating the collection and parents for supporting it. We will look forward to working with you in the future.
