What's On In 5/6

Winter Sports:

Last Friday, our Year 5/6 students, along with a number of Year 4 students, participated in Round 1 of Winter Sports. In the lead-up to the event, students have been busy training and practising their skills during Friday afternoon sessions, and it was fantastic to see their hard work put into action.

Students represented our school in soccer, netball, football and T-ball, demonstrating excellent teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the day. It was wonderful to see students encouraging one another, trying their best, and having fun while competing against other schools.

Regardless of the results, all students should be proud of the way they represented our school community. We look forward to continuing our training over the coming weeks and competing again in Round 2 on Friday week.

Kitchen:

Students have thoroughly enjoyed the return of Kitchen classes in Term 2. Working in small groups, they have been developing their cooking skills, teamwork and confidence while preparing a range of delicious recipes.

Some highlights so far have included making potato naan and homemade gnocchi. It has been wonderful to see students stepping outside their comfort zones to try new foods and flavours.

We are proud of the enthusiasm students have brought to each session and look forward to many more tasty creations throughout the term!
