Walk to School Day

What a wonderful way to start the day! On Wednesday the 20th of May, our students put on their walking shoes and joined in Walk to School Day. It was fantastic to see so many happy faces arriving at school after enjoying some fresh air, movement and time with friends and family. The morning was full of energy and positivity, and it was a great reminder of how small healthy choices can make a big difference. A big thank you to our JSC Representatives, staff, parents and carers for helping make the morning such a success. 

Reconciliation Week

Throughout the week, students explored stories, artwork, history and culture while deepening their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the importance of reconciliation. Students also took part in a special yarning stick session, where they created their own yarning sticks and learnt about the importance of storytelling, listening and sharing. We also came together for a special assembly to recognise Reconciliation Week as a school community. It was wonderful to see students engage with curiosity, respect and thoughtfulness as we continued building a school community that values understanding, connection and respect.

Throughout Reconciliation Week, students explored stories, artwork, history and culture while learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the importance of reconciliation. Students took part in yarning circles, created yarning sticks, enjoyed wattle hot chocolates, and attended a special assembly to view the Sea of Hands installation.

It was wonderful to see students engage with curiosity, respect and thoughtfulness as we continued building a school community that values understanding, connection and respect.
