NBL Player Appearance

Last Thursday, our Year 3 – 6 students were lucky enough to experience an NBL player appearance featuring Matt Kenyon, Owen Foxwell and Reuben Te Rangi from the South East Melbourne Pheonix. 

The players held a Q&A session to kick things off, where students had the opportunity to pick the brains of some elite sportsmen. I was impressed by the level of questioning from our interested students, with questions around motivation, training standards, statistics and as well as any tips and tricks that may help our young budding sports stars. 

Next, some lucky Year 6 students were chosen to put their skills to the test in scratch match against the professionals. Unfortunately for our students, the home crowd advantage wasn’t enough to get them over the line, however I’m sure it was an experience they won’t be forgetting for a long time.
