Principal Team Update

Hi BPS families,

Welcome back to Term 2 at Beaumaris Primary. We hope you had an enjoyable break and time together as a family over Easter. We were thrilled to welcome our students back this morning, they walked through the gates eager and ready to dive into another term of learning, growth, and fun. We also extend a warm welcome to a number of new families who have joined our community this term. We have a continued strong focus on student learning, as well as lots of exciting activities and opportunities planned for the upcoming term. We look forward to working together as a community to make this term a great success.

We concluded Term 1 on a high, as we proudly watched our Prep students parade their Easter Bonnets. What a way to celebrate and acknowledge their first term of primary school! We cheered for the many successful recipients of the Easter Raffle prizes. There were so many thanks to your generous donations - we appreciate your support of this event. Thank you to the team of Year 2 parents through Parents & Friends for coordinating and organising the raffle prizes. Thank you to McLaren Melbourne and the Zagame Automotive Group for supplying the Easter Bunny's mode of transport for the occasion!

We've had some wonderful news shared amongst our staff that we'd love to share with you all. Congratulations to our PE and Sport Coordinator, Mr Max Pretty, and his wife Julia, who welcomed baby Maggie. Everyone is doing well. Mr Pretty will return following his period of leave. Congratulations also to Ms Tayla Corrigan and her husband, Will, who welcomed baby Harry. Tayla, Will, and proud big brother Jack are all doing well.

We have a huge number of items sitting in lost property. Please come and check if anything belongs to your child if you're missing something.

Tomorrow morning at 10:40am, we will hold our school's ANZAC Day assembly for staff and students to commemorate and honour this significant occasion.

A reminder that this is a short first week back - Thursday is a Curriculum Day which means no students are onsite, and Friday is the ANZAC Day Public Holiday.

Enjoy your week.
