eSmart Week
In the final week of Term 1, our student's participated in National eSmart Week.
National eSmart Week is an annual event, run by eSmart, Australia's online safety education platform and an initiative of the Alannah and Madeline Foundation. It is a nationwide celebration designed to help students stay safe, smart, and responsible online. More information can be found here.
The focus this year was on empowering young people with essential digital literacy skills and eSmart's 4Cs Framework, which identifies online safety risks across four key areas: Content, Contact, Conduct, and Compulsion.
All of our students participated in conversations and learning tasks, designed at an age appropriate level, around this important focus and topic.
The eSafety Commissioner website provides a wide range of resources to support parents & carers to help children to safely navigate the online world. We will share a range of these with you through our Topic Spotlight, but if you wish to further explore their resources they can be found at https://www.esafety.gov.au/parents
