Dear Parents and Carers,

You might have noticed red in the sacred spaces around the school, highlighting last Sunday's Pentecost.

This morning, our school community gathered for a beautiful Pentecost liturgy, reflecting on the birthday of the Church from the Acts of the Apostles. We heard how the Holy Spirit came down upon the disciples like a rushing wind and tongues of fire, turning their fear into incredible courage. The disciples were suddenly able

to speak different languages, bringing people of all backgrounds together in harmony.

As a school community, we reflected on how that same Holy Spirit lives inside each of us today - giving them the energy, unique talents, and kindness to be brave followers of Jesus.

In a special way, as we recognised National Reconciliation Week, we prayed for unity, healing, and friendship across our nation. We challenge ourselves to carry the "fire" of the Holy Spirit into the world, using our words to build others up and be true peacemakers.

Fill us with your power and your joy. Like the wind, lift our spirits. Like the fire, warm our hearts to love others.
