Principals Message

Dear families,  

It is very hard to believe that we are currently finishing up for 2025 and what an incredible year it has been! St Mary’s has completely overhauled our learning and teaching with the introduction and embedding of Magnify Sandhurst. We are very excited for what 2026 brings with improvements to the way that we teach spelling, science, and how we continue to improve the capacity of our staff through quality professional learning, peer-observations and feedback.  

What an exciting time for the children at Rushworth and surrounds.  

The last few weeks here at school have been a bit of a whirlwind but have been extremely enjoyable as we have been on our whole-school excursion, had our swimming carnival, celebrated our Year 6 Graduation Mass among many other opportunities. 

Finally, I would like to take the final opportunity to thank, and share my gratitude to, the St Mary’s and Rushworth community for your support of myself over the last two years. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as principal of the school. I have met so many friendly people and are so proud of the school. I wish you all the very best moving forward and look forward to keeping up to date with all of the happenings of the school. 

 I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and New Year and hope that you all enjoy a Holy and festive holiday break.
