Year 12s in Focus

Our Year 12 students are actively developing a broad range of practical skills across all four Trade areas:

  • Automotive: Fitting new tyres, wheel balancing, and setting engine timing.
  • Metals: Fabrication of trailers, ute trays, and a weights bench.
  • Furnishings: Construction of mirrors and large natural-edge tables.
  • Construction: Building a variety of arbors and outdoor tables.

Year 12 Incursion – Komatsu and ADF

As mentioned last week, several companies have begun visiting the Trades area to discuss career pathways and opportunities with students.

This week, we welcomed Komatsu, who shared information about their apprenticeship pathways. Their 2027 apprenticeship intake will open in June, with further details to be shared closer to the time.

We also hosted representatives from the Australian Defence Force, who outlined a wide range of apprenticeship and gap year opportunities. Their offerings are extensive, with intakes open year-round. Further information is available through their Careers Branch:
