It has been another busy and productive week, with students continuing to embrace the many opportunities available in classrooms, on the farm, in the trades, and in residential settings. It's always great to see students participating in activities around the College.

The sale of Mother's Day flowers was an absolute standout.  Thanks to Mr Olde and Mr Lawrence for their assistance across all aspects of Hort.

Residential students thoroughly enjoyed a fun-filled evening of “Bogan Bingo,” with plenty of laughter and dressing up. These opportunities for students to relax, socialise, and build friendships are an important part of residential life.

Last week I had the opportunity to attend the South West Principals’ Conference, which provided valuable professional learning and, importantly, the opportunity to network and collaborate with fellow school leaders from across the region. These opportunities to share ideas, challenges and successes are incredibly valuable and ultimately strengthen outcomes for our students.

Our Agricultural Advisory Committee has also been actively involved in reviewing Trust Fund applications and discussing seasonal planning for the months ahead. The support and expertise provided by our Advisory Committee members continue to play an important role in shaping the future direction of Harvey Ag and ensuring that students benefit from industry knowledge and opportunities.

Today, we had the privilege of hosting a group from the Signature Leadership Program as part of their regional field trip. We took our visitors on a tour of the College, showcasing our farm operations, trades facilities, and residential area, allowing them to see firsthand the unique learning environment and opportunities available to our students.

It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the outstanding work taking place at Harvey Ag, while also strengthening connections with industry and community partners.
