Making a Splash: Our Combined Swimming Carnival

What a spectacular day at the pool! Yesterday, our school community came together with our friends from Pallamallawa Public School and Gravesend Public School for our annual Swimming Carnival.

The atmosphere was electric, filled with school chants and cheers, splashing water, and a wonderful sense of regional camaraderie.

Combining our small schools doesn't just make the races more competitive; it strengthens the bonds across our wider community.

While the races were fast and the finishes close, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the sportsmanship on display. It was heartening to see students from different schools cheering for one another, helping younger swimmers find their lanes, and celebrating every finish—whether it was first place or a personal best.

A few special mentions from the day:

  • Participation: A huge "well done" to every student who hopped in the water. From the 25m novelty events to the 200 IM, the courage to "have a go" was our biggest win.
  • Community Support: A massive thank you to the parents and volunteers from all three schools whoacted as timekeepers, marshals, and  helpers. We could not do it without you.

Events like these remind us that we are part of a vibrant, supportive network. Thank you Grant and Kimberly at Warialda Pool for their support and to Pallamallawa and Gravesend for joining us and making it a day to remember!
