Wellbeing News

We’ve kicked off the year with an exciting range of wellbeing programs supporting our students’ emotional, social, and personal growth. Our Year 7 students have been exploring emotional awareness through Thrive sessions, and have loved joining the Legends from Glen Eira Youth Services for fun and interactive activities during Wednesday lunchtimes as part of the Moving In Program.

We are thrilled to have launched the ICAN neurodiverse mentoring group, with our first sessions underway and more planned for Term 2. This week, our junior students are joining small social skills groups, building confidence, friendships, and communication skills in a supportive space.

Meanwhile, our Year 12s have had the chance to strengthen resilience through the Reach Foundation ARN workshops – truly inspiring sessions to help them navigate their final year. And a special shout-out to our superstar Roz, who has organised “On the Ropes”, an engaging theatre production developed with community legal services and youth wellbeing experts.

Finally, our wellbeing team had a fantastic day at the Service Expo, run by Stonnington and Glen Eira Councils, connecting with a range of community services to continue supporting our students in meaningful ways.

It’s been a bright and positive start to the year, and we can’t wait to see all the great things ahead!

Australian Dental Health will be visiting Glen Eira College from the week beginning on 27/04/2026 to provide on-site dental check-ups for eligible students. Dental check-ups help maintain good oral health and are a simple way to have this taken care of during the school day.

Parents/car are required to complete a consent form prior to the visit.

If you would like your child to take part in this optional program, register and provide consent here: https://adh.jotform.com/253428036184861
