School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS)
Our SWPBS journey continues this year and we are very grateful to the students from Years 8 - 12 below who attended our staff curriculum day for a morning session where they collaborated with staff on analysing data collected from our ATOSS, Student Focus Groups and Learning Walks. Our student were able to share some actions that the school can take to enhance Care and Respect amongst our community.

We are now working on creating a handbook / playbook for our staff and students that will contain all the processes in place at GEC to support a positive climate for learning.
BOCI (Building our Community and Identity) Committee
Our BOCI committee meets every Thursday at lunchtime in room 107. We are currently seeking parents and carers who would like to be involved in the committee. This year alongside celebrating our diverse community at the school, the committee is keen to look at what Inclusion looks like at GEC and what possible actions could be taken to ensure that GEC continues to be a culturally inclusive safe space for every member of our community.
If you are interested, please send your expression of interest to the school email to the attention of Loveena Narayanen.
