Wellbeing Morning Tea – Thank You
Thank you to all the parents and carers who attended our Wellbeing Morning Tea last week. It was wonderful to see such strong engagement from our community and to continue building a shared understanding of wellbeing at our school.
During the session, we shared an overview of our whole-school approach to wellbeing, including our implementation of School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) and other programs/approaches that we use to improve student wellbeing
. This approach focuses on explicitly teaching expected behaviours, building positive relationships, and creating a safe, supportive and predictable learning environment for all students. We also explored how wellbeing, engagement and learning are closely connected, and the importance of early identification and targeted support through a tiered model of support.
We discussed the role of families as partners in supporting student wellbeing, and how a consistent, shared approach between home and school helps students to feel safe, confident and ready to learn.
As part of this newsletter, you will find links to:
- The video shared during the presentation: What is Wellbeing?
- Our school’s Expected Behaviour Matrix (below)
- A short parent survey so we can hear your thoughts about wellbeing (follow the QR code).
If you were unable to attend, we warmly invite you to share your thoughts through the survey, as your input is highly valued.
Over the coming weeks, we will review all feedback and use this to inform our next steps and priorities for wellbeing at Caulfield Primary School.
Kind regards,
Joanne Weston
Wellbeing and Inclusion Leader
