A Fathers Day Prayer
Celebrating Those Who Love and Care for Us
Loving God,
We thank you for the fathers, grandfathers and special people who fill our children’s lives with love, guidance and care.
Bless them with strength, patience and joy, and may they always know how deeply they are loved and appreciated.
We remember with love those who are no longer with us, but remain forever in our hearts.
Amen.

May your day be filled with love, laughter and precious moments with those who are special to you. We thank you for the love, care, guidance and encouragement you give to our children each and every day.
A very special thank you to Monica, Tendayi and the Sacred Heart Parents and Friends Team for organising our wonderful Father’s Day Stall and Raffle and for helping to make this celebration so special for our families.

Safe Routes to School – Survey
A friendly reminder to our families to complete the Safe Routes to School (Octopus Schools) survey if you haven’t already done so.
Your feedback will help Sacred Heart work with Darebin Council to make travelling to and from school safer and easier for our students and families, while encouraging more walking, scooting and cycling.
The survey takes just 3 minutes to complete. Please complete it by Monday 14 September to help shape the program and go into the draw to win a $30 gift voucher!

Learning Together: Curriculum Day
Our Curriculum Day provided staff with a valuable opportunity to explore MACS 2030: Vision for Instruction and Engagement. We reflected on how explicit, intentional and responsive teaching can create purposeful and engaging learning experiences where every student can thrive.
Staff also participated in a MACS Walkthrough, explored student wellbeing, and worked collaboratively to develop and refine our Student Behaviour Support Flowchart, strengthening our shared approach to supporting positive student behaviour and wellbeing.
A special thank you to our wonderful Leadership Team; Marty, Kate and Geraldine for their time, preparation and leadership throughout the day. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn, reflect and grow together as a team.
Spring Festival School Holidays!
There are lots of exciting activities planned for children throughout the upcoming September school holidays!
Please see the attached program brochure and poster for the full activity schedule, booking information and fees. Printed brochures will also be distributed to students.
We hope many of our families will take advantage of this wonderful program. Strong participation from our school community will help support the continuation of the program at Sacred Heart Primary School.
We encourage families to explore the program and book early to secure their preferred activities. We look forward to seeing many of our students enjoying the holiday program!
