Possum Airlines
Last week, the Possum Group got their passports stamped once again - this time with a snail - as we boarded Possum Airlines for Paris!
A highlight of our flight was being given a lovely, warm, refreshing towel, so lovely after a long (10-minute) flight to Paris! We also enjoyed looking at photos of Finley's Mum and Dad in Paris, and got excited about what we might see. Once we landed, we were excited to meet some people who, while not exactly locals, were certainly experts in Français - Mrs Robinson and the Year 7s!
They helped us with lots of fun activities, including bracelet making, French flags, painting maps of France, dot-to-dots of Notre-Dame, Eiffel Tower paintings, and some French language! We loved listening to the song they sang us, and some of the Possum children had a go at introducing themselves with "Je m'appelle".
Other highlights of the day were eating croissants, listening to Herbie's Mum read us some books with French words, learning about some famous art you might see in France, and having a go at painting our own!
Thank you to our families and School community for getting involved in our learning and helping us explore our curiosity about the wider world.
