It was fantastic to see so many students embrace the challenge with enthusiasm and determination, pushing themselves to do their very best. Throughout the morning, there was a wonderful sense of school spirit, with students cheering on their peers and celebrating each other’s efforts.

Senior School

The Senior School Cross Country Carnival followed, with students taking on the same newly designed 3km and 5km course in a more competitive setting. Conditions remained ideal, allowing for some strong performances across all age groups. It was great to see students challenge themselves over the longer distances, with many demonstrating resilience, determination, and a willingness to push beyond their comfort zone. The competitive spirit was evident, particularly in the senior races, while still maintaining strong support and encouragement between peers.

Congratulations to Knox for continuing their success, taking out the Senior School House Championship for 2026.

Junior School Division Athletics

On Friday 1st May, 11 of our Junior School students proudly represented our College at the Division Athletics Carnival held at Brauerander. It was a warm day on the track, but our students showed tremendous resilience, never once complaining and giving their best in every event.

A highlight of the day was the way our team supported one another. Their constant encouragement, cheers from the sidelines, and positive attitudes were a wonderful reflection of our school spirit.

Congratulations to all 11 students who qualified for this level. An outstanding achievement in itself. A special mention goes to Wilton, Chloe, Rosie, Jemimah, Theo, and Luke, who have all progressed through to the Greater Western Regionals in Ballarat later this year. We wish them the very best as they prepare for the next stage of competition.

Well done to all involved on a fantastic day of athletics!

Colac Clay Target Shooting Competition

On Wednesday 29th May, with a depleted team, we competed at the Colac Clay Target Shooting Competition.

Our students had the amazing opportunity to meet King's College Class of 2013 Alumni, Olympic Bronze Medallist, and Australia's current number one Clay Target shooter, Penny Smith. Penny was gracious and jumped in for the team photo.

We did not bring any medals or trophies home but we did have a great day in the Autumn sunshine competing and mingling with other competitors. As always, our students were great representatives for King's College.
