Principal's Update

Working Together as a Christian Community

From time to time, it is important to reflect on how we, as a community, speak about and support one another.

Recently, we have become aware of conversations occurring in parent group chats and public settings where concerns about staff or students are being discussed. While these often come from a place of care, they can unintentionally cause harm, particularly when information is shared indirectly or without full context.

As a Christian community, we are called to use our words to build one another up (Ephesians 4:29) and to treat every person with dignity and respect. This is especially important when speaking about children, each of whom is made in the image of God.

If you have a concern, I encourage you to raise it directly with your child’s teacher or the relevant Head of School. This reflects the principle in Matthew 18 of addressing matters personally and respectfully, allowing for clarity and resolution.

Together, we can continue to foster a culture of respect, kindness, and partnership, ensuring our College remains a place where every child and family feels valued and supported.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

King's College was proudly represented at ANZAC Day services in Warrnambool and Dennington last Saturday.

Several of our students marched and laid wreaths. Junior and Senior School Captains, Yana, Esther, Ben and Blake also had the honor of presenting readings at the Warrnambool Service.

King's College students also made contributions with various groups in the community such as band, choir, cadets and Surf Club.

Australian Flag Gifting

On Monday 20th April, our Federal Member for Wannon, the Honourable Dan Tehan MP, personally delivered a new Australian flag to the school. We plan to use this as one of many tools to help our students find purpose here at King's College. In this case, by having some of them raise and lower the flag in the Courtyard at the start and end of each day.
