Cultural Celebrations

Harmony Day
On Thursday 19 March, Weeden Heights celebrated Harmony Day. Many students came dressed in cultural clothing or wearing a splash of orange.
At lunchtime, the whole school gathered for a picnic, which included a special performance of ‘Down Under in Australia’, sung by students across the school, as well as an Indian dance performance and instructional session led by Gargi in the senior school.
Throughout the day, students also participated in Harmony Day activities in their classrooms. One activity was creating an ‘I Belong’ hand, which was then added to the ‘WHPS Harmony Tree’. Please take a look at it in the corridor near the library next time you’re at school.
Happy Easter
Weeden Heights wishes everyone a happy and safe Easter break, filled with laughter and special moments.
