Battle of the Boards

The Chess Tournament has now ramped up to include all year levels. It's been wonderful to see students of all ages competing against each other and improving their skills in this strategic game. Tournament matches are taking place during Break 2 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, but students are making the most of other break times to practice also. There is momentum gaining as the players look forward to a trip to Melbourne soon to join in on an interschool competition.

Non-chess players are also enjoying the library atmosphere to read, play other games, or chat with friends.

Overdue emails

Parents - have you received a 'second notice' in your inbox but not seen the first? This is because the first notice is only emailed to the students, and the parents are copied in if a second one is issued. Our library software, Accessit, automates these overdue notices and we use a variety of formats to 'get the message out' - including emails, printed letters given to students in class, verbal reminders and letters sent home by post.
