Mr Irwin's Message

Hello families and welcome to this week's newsletter.
As of this afternoon, semester reports will be live on Sentral. The format of these remains consistent with previous semester reports and will contain a general comment on about each child’s progress, marking of their progress against the Victorian Curriculum areas students have completed during semester one, an updated learning continuum in Literacy and Numeracy to highlight specific skills students have achieved, along with next steps, as well as information of work habits and behaviour related to our school values.
Any families seeking further information regarding their child’s semester report can schedule a meeting with the relevant teacher to discuss progress further.
To coincide with the release of semester reports, we have scheduled a date for our student learning conferences, which will be held in week 3 of Term 3 on Monday July 27th. Student-led conferences do what they say on the packet, which is privilege time for students to share a number of learning artefacts across curriculum areas from Term 2. These conferences are planned in the first few weeks of Term 3 and whilst they are a sharing of learning progress, don’t allow time for discussion of content in semester reports. Bookings for conferences will open later this week, which families will be notified regarding via email.
SWAG Awards
A reminder to families that our end of term assembly will commence at 2:00pm on Friday prior to our 2:30pm dismissal. At this assembly we will celebrate our Students With Amazing Growth (SWAG) award winners from across the school.
Term 3 Commences
Students will return to school on Tuesday 14th of July. Staff will return on Monday 13th of July for a pupil free curriculum day. We hope students have a wonderful winter holiday period and enjoy the chance to rest up before we return for term 3. It's hard to believe we are at the end of Term 2 already. Well done to students on the effort they have given to their learning so far this year!
Bye for now,
Sam
