🌟 Specialist Spotlight 🌟

A big shout out to our incredible Specialist team at Sacred Heart! Our students continue to enjoy engaging and enriching learning experiences across STEM, Art, Sport and Italian, developing new skills while exploring their creativity. 

We would also like to extend a very warm welcome to Paula Maestra, who has joined our Sacred Heart community and will be supporting Mary Maestra in Italian. We’re delighted to have Paula on board and look forward to the wonderful learning experiences she will bring to our students! 🇮🇹✨

Inform & Empower - Digital Footprint - 🔐 Staying Safe Online

Our Year One and Two students recently took part in an engaging online Inform and Empower session focused on staying safe in the digital world. Students learnt which information should always be kept private, including their: 

• name
• age 
• address
• school 
• password

• photos

  Stuednts learnt what to do if someone online asks for personal information. They were reminded to always tell a trusted adult, who can help them block and report anything that doesn’t feel right. This was a fantastic opportunity to help our youngest learners become smart, safe and confident digital citizens! 💻

💥Meet Our SRC Representatives!

We are so excited to introduce our wonderful SRC (Student Representative Council) members for this year! These students have been chosen to represent their peers, share ideas and help make our school an even happier and more connected place. Our SRC members will have the important job of listening to the thoughts and suggestions of their classmates and working together to make positive changes around our school.

📚 Caught in the Magic of Reading!

Walking past Miss Prosser’s classroom always brings a smile to my face. I couldn’t help but stop and sit in for a moment as I listened to her captivate the students while reading Fantastic Mr Fox while they ate their fruit snack. The room was filled with curiosity and excitement, and you truly could have heard a pin drop as the children were completely immersed in the story. It was a beautiful reminder of the magic that comes from sharing a great book and creating a love of reading in our classrooms. Thank you kindly Miss Prosser for being so amazing at what you do! 

🌿 Celebrating Saint Mary MacKillop

Last week, our school community came together to celebrate the Feast of Saint Mary MacKillop, a very special occasion in our school calendar. As a whole school, we gathered together for Mass to honour Saint Mary and reflect on her inspiring life, faith and commitment to helping others. It was a beautiful opportunity for our students and staff to come together as one community and celebrate the values that Saint Mary MacKillop lived by faith, compassion, courage and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.

A very special thank you to Miss Maloney for all her hard work and thoughtful preparation in making this such a meaningful celebration for our school community. Her efforts helped ensure that the Mass was a truly special occasion for everyone. 🌿✨

✨The Assumption of Mary

Today, our school community came together in the hall to mark the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. This special feast celebrates Mary being taken body and soul into Heaven and gives us an opportunity to reflect on her faith, love and trust in God. It was a beautiful time to gather as a whole school community to celebrate Mary and the important role she plays in our Catholic faith. 

📚 Symphony of Stories – Book Week is Coming!

In preparation for Book Week, we were thrilled to enjoy a wonderful Book Week performance! It was the perfect opportunity to get us excited for Week Seven, when we will officially celebrate Book Week together.

This year’s theme is “Symphony of Stories”, and we can’t wait to bring stories to life through creativity, imagination and, of course, some fabulous costumes!

Children are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite character from a book. We encourage families to get creative with costume ideas, so please don’t feel anypressure to go out and buy a costume. Homemade, simple and imaginative costumes are just as wonderful! We can’t wait to see the wonderful characters from our favourite stories come to life!
