Welcome to the STFX Book Café!

This week, STFX is celebrating CBCA Book Week 2026 and this year’s wonderful theme, “Symphony of Stories.”

To celebrate, the STFX Library was transformed into a Book Café, where students took part in a special Book Tasting experience. 

Just like sampling different dishes at a café, students moved between tables and “tasted” a selection of books from different genres. Working collaboratively, they explored each book’s title, author, characters, setting and plot, discussing their discoveries and sharing their ideas with their group.

The Book Café encouraged students to step outside their usual reading choices, discover new authors and genres, and experience the wonderful variety of stories available in our library.

Like the different instruments in a symphony, every story brings its own voice, rhythm and character. Together, they create our very own Symphony of Stories! 

 Coming Next Week: Book Week Incursion

Our Book Week celebrations aren’t over yet!

Next Wednesday, students will enjoy a special Book Week incursion, with a visiting theatre company bringing stories to life through an exciting live performance.

We look forward to continuing our celebration of books, imagination and storytelling as the sounds of our Symphony of Stories continue throughout STFX!
