We spent a lot of time sharing our favourite stories, or even songs and artists that we liked. Have a read below for all our favourite ones and why.

Bon Jovi New Jersey Album

I like playing Bon Jovi's music when I do my home work because it makes me feel good and helps me concentrate.

My favourite memory with this song is when me and my family went to inverloch and we took two separate cars me in my dad were in one of the cars and we listened to its my life like 10 times.

THIS and THAT (Stray Kids album)-bookweek

This and that is a newly released album by the K-pop group Stray Kids…. The feeling I get from Stray Kids and their new album is love…. They put so much effort into making new songs, and it makes me really happy.

The memory from the album or Stray Kids is the past when they just debuted and made it so far. I remember when it was their KARMA era, and I really miss it, but I still love Stray Kids and always will, there are SO many memories from Stray Kids that I'll cherish forever.

The message from Stray Kids itself is that when ur feeling lost in life and have no one to go to, their music makes me feel grounded and safe in more ways than one; their voices calm me down, and their jokes make me laugh.

The members are Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and Jeongin, and each of them made me STAY…. Bang Chan is like a therapist to me, Lee Know is someone that makes me smile, Changbin makes me laugh, Hyunjin tells STAYs everything is gonna be ok, Han calms me down, Felix's voice makes me feel grounded, Seungmin's smile makes me smile, and Jeongin makes me warmer….

THE GRUFFALO

I CHOSE THE GRUFFALO BECAUSE…

FEELING:

I chose this book because my mum and dad used to always read this to me and put on the show. My mum used to read this all the time when she was a kid. She always loved it.

MESSAGE:

In my opinion, I think this story is about realizing you can do anything even if you are big or small, your voice is frilly or you are scared out of your mind. It teaches a good lesson to all the kids or adults reading it to not be scared whatever comes your way.

MEMORY: I remember my favourite part of the story I used to watch on repeat, was the mouse interacting with the fox when he claimed he was meeting up with the gruffalo even though he was just joking, he ended up actually meeting him and scaring the gruffalo and the fox.

CHARACTER:

I loved the mouse, he was one of the main characters but he made the story funny and memorable to the kids and it definitely was my favourite character because of the humour and style.

Maddi Darwall:

RICHO

The name of the book is called Richo, and it was written by Matthew Richardson and Martin Flanagan. I was feeling good about this book because Matthew kicked a lot of goals and marks and he made Richmond win the grand final in footy. The message is he is a good Richmond player and he has kicked lots of goals .The memory is he kicks lots of goals. The character is Matthew Richardson.

Marlee Wightman:

Title: TEMPLE ALLY SUMMER

Author: Sachiko Kashiwaba and Miho Satake

Feeling: I feel like this book is the best because it makes me want to red more japanese books like this one and it has words in there in japanese and it haves the definition of it and it teaches me more words in japanese now i know what it means now.

Message: you should read this book if you like japan and you like to read it has 232 pages and some pictures in between some pages.

Character: the girls name is kazu, kazu has brown hair a blue dress and a magenta back pack and two red pom poms on her hair tie.

LILIANA PAYET:

itle: Millie Mak The Maker

Author: Alice Pung & Sher Rill ng

Feeling: I feel like this book teaches you how to learn to do things and to always try again, which is the best because it just makes me happy knowing someone is learning to sew and do a bunch of those things with her family.

Memory: You should read this book because it is great. I am halfway through the book. I remember reading it at school. I would sit there and read about five pages max if I had time.

Message: If you are looking for a good book to read, you should definitely try this book. It is 271 pages long, and it is also very interesting with a bunch of random surprises.

Characters: Millie, Rosie, Ahma/Grandma, Dad, Mum, and her Friends.

BLAKE PALMER:

Mick Doohan

30 years ago a moto gp rider started his career his name was mick doohan and then he didn’t know but one day he would be a world known moto gp rider he raced for honda they had a 1000cc engine they went hard there top speed was 295km that is fast but there are down sides sometimes he crashed every moto gp rider crashes he traveled around the world to track to track and at 34 years old he retired and will be known around the world the end.

Author and title:

The name of the book is Black Beauty, and it is written by Anna Sewell.

Message & small summary

Black Beauty is often passed around homes. He starts in a lovely home with a nice mother. Then Beauty is sold to a kind Squire Gordon. Then he gets moved to another home when they move. Beauty is put with cruel owners, then he's in an accident, but then a kind farmer nurses him back to health. Beauty is then finally placed in a loving, permanent home. The message is that through the good and bad, you will find your happily ever after.

The character:

In my opinion, it's also the character Beauty; even though he gets beaten and suffers an accident, he makes it through all of it.

Memory:

Then the memory, for me, this story has huge sentimental value. When I was younger, I used to really like horse books, so one day I brought back Black Beauty from the school library. And my mum would read it to me every night before bed, and I absolutely loved it; it was our thing.

Feeling:

This book makes me feel like even if things aren't so bright at the moment, they will eventually get better. Have you ever heard that there's always light at the end of the tunnel? It's kind of like that; it's also a bit of hope.

Chicken little

I chose this book because it was one of my favourite books when I was little.

My Grandma used to read it to me whenever I stayed at her house.

I think it was one of my first books I ever read and I still love how the story was based on the sky falling and he told everyone that an acorn fell on his head and the sky was falling but it wasn't.

I think the message is never believe everything because it might be fake information.

My favorite character is probably Chicken Little, I chose him because he is super crazy when he gets hit on the head.

My Favourite book is Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

I like Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone because it has a happy ending. I also like it because nobody good dies. I also like the characters because Harry, Hermione, and Ron make a great team. I remember reading it, and being so engrossed and enjoying the book.

Message: It is a book that gives the message of friendship and hope in the darkest of times

Feeling: I like Lightfall because of the characters and storyline and all the jam-packed action with great details

The Inheritance Cycle

By Christopher Paolini

I read these books a couple years ago and loved them. I felt happy and excited reading them, “What’s going to happen here?” "Can Eragon trust them?” The twists and turns of the plot gave me some of my favorite stories ever. I felt giddy with excitement and tried to guess what was going to happen.

I remember begging my parents to buy me the book that was not in the school library sitting in the Canberra bookshop and reading the first few pages of Brisingr. Another memory was reading where Eragon turned into a half elf and rereading it over and over because of the strange circumstances. Finishing Murtagh’s book was such an achievement due to its 24.5 x 15.5 x 6 cm and 704 page size at 9 or 10 for me.

I loved the deep characters in this series, the very real feeling of regretting killing, the family twists, the separation of Arya and Eragon. The fight scenes in this book defy most other book’s capacity for attacking. In a book like Harry Potter, there’s blocks, running and rare attacks. In Eragon, you’ll be given a play by play, descriptive account of the slashes and magic. Dragons will send blasts, warriors will trade blows, landing more than in other books, people actually take hits in The inheritance cycle, then keep fighting. In Harry Potter, one spell will be taken and they’ll retreat.

The message I believe is given by this book is that facing many seemingly insurmountable problems can be quelled by determination, time and skill.
