Sports Update 

Clay Target 

Three Senior School students had the opportunity to put their skills to the test at the North East Zone School Persons Clay Target Competition in Colbinabbin on 14 August.

Mason Hazelman-Smallwood, Sam Stillard and Adrian Jonker all performed strongly throughout the day, demonstrating impressive accuracy, concentration and composure against students from across the region. 

Congratulations to all three students on embracing the opportunity and representing our School in this competition! 

Junior Soccer Reps Shine 

Over the 8-9 August weekend, a number of our Junior School students represented the Cobram Junior Soccer Association in the Griffith Cup. 

The Under 8 Boys were runners up, topping their group, winning the semi final on penalties against GV Suns. Their grand final ended in a 0-0 draw and another penalty shootout but they unfortunately they came up short this time and finished runners up overall. Cobram AGS students in this team were: Will Hayward, Jobe Mortlock, Isaiah Trengove, Layne Hocking and Leo Watkins.

Other Results 

Under 9 Boys: Also made it the semi finals but lost on penalties. Team included: Theo Diramacca, Ted Watkins, Archie McIntyre and Gurikk Singh.

Under 10 Boys: Jensen Mortlock, Lucas Fantig, and Cooper Gattuso 

Under 12 Boys: Ari Zanotto and Lucas Smith (Coached by Year 10 student Cam Harb)

Under 11/12 Girls: Meg Kelly (Lily Hayward unavailable)

Under 9 Girls: Eva Cossar and Eva Diaco

All students played extremely well, with great sportsmanship, respect and teamwork. Well done!
