Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

Following another busy and productive fortnight, it is worth taking a moment to reflect on all that has been happening around our school community. From classroom learning and special activities to sport and student leadership opportunities, there has been plenty to celebrate.

One of the standout features of the past two weeks has been the positive attitude shown by our students during the recent wet weather. With grounds and facilities requiring careful management, students have responded with maturity, patience and a cooperative spirit. Whether adapting play routines, using alternative spaces, or following staff directions regarding restricted areas, our students have demonstrated respect for one another and for our school environment. Thank you to all students for helping ensure that everyone remained safe while allowing our grounds time to recover from the rain.

Across the school, learning has continued at a strong pace. Classrooms have been full of purposeful activity as students engage in new units of work, complete assessments and prepare for upcoming events. It has been encouraging to see students striving to do their best and supporting one another in their learning.

Looking Ahead: Athletics Carnivals

Excitement is building for next week's Athletics Carnivals after the unfortunate postponement this week due to wet weather.  Athletics provides a wonderful opportunity for students to challenge themselves, participate in a range of events and contribute to their house team. Whether competing for a podium finish, aiming for a personal best or simply getting involved and encouraging others, every student's participation is valued and encouraged. The day is always marked by great sportsmanship, healthy competition and plenty of house spirit.

Students are encouraged to:

• Wear their house colours with pride
• Participate enthusiastically in all events they are entered in
• Support teammates and competitors alike
• Demonstrate excellent behaviour and sportsmanship throughout the day

We look forward to seeing our students embrace the opportunities the Athletics Carnivals provide and enjoy a fun-filled day of competition, encouragement and community.
