XAVIER CAR RALLY 2023

MR JEREMY WOOD  & MS COURTNEY BELL - XAVIER HOUSE LEADERS

If you happened to be passing by the school campus on the last day of Term 3 you may have seen something extraordinary. Each Homeroom was required to assemble a car to compete in our annual Xavier House Fundraiser. Drivers, mechanics and pit crew were assigned to produce a racing team that would set a new course record. The track partly skirted the school boundaries and weaved through the Red Court, around the South Grass area, and back into the Jubilee Centre for the finish line. This event was certainly a lot of fun and a great way to end the school term. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff and students who put so much effort into their car designs. There were certainly some very creative vehicles including a World War Two Sherman tank and a Millennium Falcon (Star Wars). Xavier House raised money from a gold coin donation from students for wearing casual dress and proudly donated $320 to Chances For Children.
