This week, our theme “Our Story, Our Future” invited children to explore and celebrate Aboriginal culture and history. Through meaningful discussions and hands-on experiences, children developed an appreciation for the richness of Indigenous cultures, the importance of connection to Country, and the value of respecting and celebrating diversity. It was wonderful to see children engaging thoughtfully, sharing ideas, and building their understanding of Australia’s cultural heritage in a respectful and inclusive way.
Our Breakfast Squad kept everyone fueled for the day with a delicious variety including yoghurt cones, granola fruit bowls, honey porridge, banana bread, and refreshing milkshakes. Meanwhile, Snack Squad served up some favourites such as spring rolls, cheese toasties, mac and cheese, sushi bowls, and warm pho noodle soup, perfect for keeping everyone satisfied and energised!
Creativity was in full swing this week! Children took part in paper plane contests, engineered impressive pasta bridges, built imaginative LEGO airports, and challenged themselves with origami. There was also plenty of hands-on fun creating dinosaur enclosures, working with air-dry clay, and exploring their creativity through our “Gear Imagineer” make-and-take activities.
We kept active with a range of exciting physical games including musical hoops, octopus, “everyone’s it,” and fun educators vs students group games. The playground was buzzing with grounders, and we even enjoyed a refreshing nature walk together, giving children a chance to connect with the outdoors.
In the kitchen, children had a magical time making edible wands using melted chocolate, breadsticks, pretzel sticks, marshmallows, and sprinkles, almost too fun (and delicious!) to eat!
It’s been another fantastic week filled with learning, creativity, and connection. We look forward to more fun ahead!

Please note: When booking via the Kidsoft portal, surcharges for special experience days (Excursions, Special Events, and Make & Take Days) may not yet be visible. You can still proceed with your booking for these days on Kidsoft - your child will be booked into the special experience, and the applicable surcharge will be automatically added once the Kidsoft system is updated.

Enrolling Your Child
For new enrolments, please go to https://www.oshclub.com.au/register/
A helpful video for navigating the iParent Portal and completing the enrolment process can be found on this page.
Please note: CRN numbers and all birth dates must be entered correctly if you wish to claim the Child Care Subsidy. CCS applications are submitted automatically to Centrelink when new enrolments are actioned.
Bookings
Online bookings for Rise then Shine and Stay and Play sessions close 24 hours in advance. Online bookings for the Holiday Program and Curriculum Days close 5 days in advance.
If online bookings have closed, and you would like to make or cancel a booking, please SMS the program phone on 0427 144 945.
Cancellation of Bookings
IMPORTANT: If your child is booked in for an afternoon Stay and Play session and that booking is no longer required, please cancel the booking on the iParent Portal. If you are cancelling on the day, please contact us on the program phone before 3:15pm.
We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.
As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!
