Dear Parents and Caregivers

End of Term

Our students are almost ready for a break, as are our staff! Our students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6 have continued to work hard, play well and have fun along the way. I would like to congratulate all of our students on their efforts and achievements this term. All our staff at St Helena's Catholic Primary School work very hard to ensure that the best interests of our students are at the forefront of all that we do. I wish to acknowledge and sincerely thank them all for their commitment and efforts in what has been a busy term. Everyone is going to enjoy a well deserved holiday!

So Much to Celebrate!

There was a real buzz around St Helena's Catholic Primary School last week as we celebrated St Patrick's Day, as well as a week of Harmony Day activities. Thank you to Miss Kaylene Bederson for coordinating Harmony Week and to our amazing staff who lead activities throughout the week. Thank you Mrs Renny McArthur, Mrs Elsie Mireku, Mrs Wanda Thompson, Mrs Manpreet Jogger and Mrs Suganya Sampathkumar for sharing your talents and knowledge about your cultures with our students and staff during Harmony Week. Thank you also to our staff and students on your efforts in raising money for Project Compassion through your recess/lunch activities. Thanks too, to our parents and caregivers for supporting all that has been happening.

Interschool Swimming Team

Our Interschool Swimming Team has been in training before school this term, as they prepare for the Interschool Swimming Carnival next term. Thank you to Mr McCormack, Mrs Johnson and Miss Myles for supervising at the pool on these training mornings and to our parents and caregivers of the team for your commitment to get them to and from the pool!

Holy Week

Thank you to the Year 3 to Year 6 classes and their teachers for preparing the Easter Liturgies throughout next week. We will end the week with the Year 6 students leading us through the Stations of the Cross around the school grounds from 8:25am. All welcome each day to join us in prayer and reflection during Holy Week.

Easter Egg Raffle

Our Easter Egg raffle will be drawn on Thursday afternoon. Thank you to our amazing P&F Committee for coordinating the Easter Egg raffle and to all our families who donated Easter eggs and purchased tickets.

Colour Run

Our P&F are coordinating the school Colour Run for Friday 24 April and all students are encouraged to have a parent/caregiver set up a fundraising page. Please refer to further information in School Notices. The money raised by our P&F will directly go towards school resources for our students. It is a great day for our students and staff too! Thanks in advance for your support of the P&F committee.
