Leadership Report

I am delighted to welcome everyone back for another exciting term at Magill School. It has been wonderful to see the enthusiasm and energy that both students and staff have brought into the new term. Our classrooms are buzzing with activity, and it's heartening to witness the dedication to learning and growth.
We warmly welcome Miss Luana to F4 for the next five weeks and Mr Lachie to F1 on Thursdays and Fridays for the rest of the year. We are excited to have them join our team and look forward to the positive contributions they will make to our school community.
Congratulations to Dion and Deana Constantinou on the birth of their baby boy, Elisseos. We wish them all the very best during this joyful time.
The unseasonal warm weather has certainly added a touch of brightness to our days, allowing for more outdoor activities and opportunities for students to engage with their peers in our beautiful school grounds. Please remember that hats are compulsory when the predicted UV maximum is 3 or above, ensuring our students are protected while enjoying the sunshine.
It's great to see so many children and families enjoying the playground after school. However, please be aware that the Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) program will use the playground from time to time, and they have priority. This means that others will need to vacate the area when OSHC want to use the playground.
I'm pleased to announce that work on our new primary playground is scheduled to start next week. Please be aware that there will be some access restrictions during the project. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to enhance our school facilities.
A reminder for parents of Reception students starting school at the beginning of 2026: please ensure that a registration of interest is completed before the end of this term. This is essential for securing a place for your child. Additionally, from 2026, we will be considering enrolments from outside the school zone. Please direct any enquiries to the enrolment officer by email at enrolment.officer588@schools.sa.edu.au or call the office on 8331 9422.
I look forward to another successful term filled with achievements and memorable experiences.
Kind regards,
John Iannunzio
