12 ways to be more caring

Here are some of the benefits of being more caring:

  • Caring leads to kindness which is contagious.
  • Caring is actually good for your health, emotionally and physically.
  • Caring is a blessing that comes back to you. What you sow is what you reap.
  • The act of caring helps to form deeper bonds.
  • Caring teaches important virtues, including loyalty, understanding, & patience.

  1. Show you care with actions, not words.
  2. Ask people how they are doing (show genuine interest in their answers).
  3. Notice the details (& remember them).
  4. Observe the needs of other people.
  5. Help when you can, even if it's in small ways.
  6. Interact on social media in a meaningful way.
  7. Be quick to apologize, even if you're not in the wrong.
  8. Send hand-written notes of encouragement.
  9. Give without the expectation of getting something in return.
  10. Schedule your check-ins with the people you care about.
  11. If someone needs a meal, share one with them.
  12. Learn active listening.
