Performing Arts
On behalf of the Music Department, I’d like to extend a big thank you to everyone who came along to support our musicians at last night's Mid Winter Concert – a live audience is invaluable for developing musicians and we thank you for your time, attention, interest, participation, and encouragement. Your presence is validation for the huge amount of hard work and practice that these students do – thank you!
Playing live music for a large audience is difficult and we would like to congratulate all our performers on an outstanding job done!! A special shout out to our Beginner Band on their debut performance - it can be a highly nerve-wracking experience (sometimes it doesn’t seem to matter how many times you’ve practiced something, when those nerves hit, everything you know goes out the window) but everyone did a great job!
We know there’s a lot of sickness about and we thank those who let us know they couldn’t make it – we hope you all make speedy recoveries and thank you for not sharing your viruses.
We very much look forward to seeing everyone at our End of Year Concert in November.
Until then, happy practicing!!
