Year 7 2026 - Parent Information Night

We understand that moving from Primary to Secondary is a big step for both students and parents. To help make this transition smooth, Good News Lutheran College warmly invites parents to an Information Session:

📅 Friday, 28th November

🕒 3:45 pm

📍 The Chapel

This session is a great opportunity to ask questions about starting Year 7 and learn how we can support your child during this exciting new chapter. Light refreshments will be served upon arrival. We look forward to seeing you!

Student Achievement

Recently students across the Primary Years have had opportunities to participate in extra-curricular activities. Last term we celebrate Science Week with a variety of activities and competitions. Mrs McCarthy was able to present prizes to the winning students at a recent assembly. Throughout the year students from Year 3 & 4 have been competing in the APSMO Maths Explorer challenge and the top students at each year level received a special badge at assembly.

A select group of Year 5 students competed in APSMO Maths Games having spent many lunch times working with Mrs Tapper on their problem-solving skills. Year 6 students competed in APSMO Maths Olympiad Junior and worked with Mrs Joseph to hone their skills. Congratulations to all our students for being courageous risk-takers as they continue to develop their knowledge and skills.

Celebrating Our Reading Champions!

Recently, more than 100 students from Prep to Year 6 received their certificates for completing the Premier’s Reading Challenge — an incredible achievement that celebrates their love of reading and dedication to learning. Throughout the challenge, students explored a wide range of books, strengthened their reading skills, and shared their enthusiasm for stories with classmates and teachers.

Their commitment and curiosity are truly inspiring! We are so proud of every student who took part and congratulate all our readers on this wonderful accomplishment. Keep turning those pages and discovering new worlds through reading!
