Message from our Principal
Mr Mark Pollard
Dear Silverton families,
Thank you to the staff that ran our STEM afternoon for our 2027 Foundation students earlier in the Term. We had a great turnout which was fantastic. We’re looking forward to our next Transition session on 22nd July which is our Specialist afternoon and BBQ.
A big thank you to everyone who came along to our Mother’s Day breakfast on Friday 8th May. Another great turn out! Thank you to all of our staff who helped set up and serve breakfast to ensure it was a great morning. I also wanted to say thank you to Laura (PA president), Tammy and our volunteers who ran the Mother’s Day stall on the same day.

Congratulations to all of our students who participated in District Summer Finals. A special mention to the girls’ basketball team who finished Runners Up on the day.
Congratulations to all of the children who competed at District Cross Country on the 15th May. We had 42 children in total compete and Silverton finished in 3rd place overall, which is a fantastic effort. We now have five children competing at Division Cross Country this Friday. We are wishing them all the very best!
I’m very happy to say that our building project is now complete. Thank you to all staff, students, parents and even Team Kids for your flexibility as we navigated our way through a big project. In other facilities news, we have some new carpet going into LC1, LC2 and LC4 over the upcoming school holidays, which is very exciting!
I wanted to say thank you to all families who have made a real effort to pack rubbish free lunches. We have noticed a significant reduction in the amount of rubbish in the yard as a result of this change. Please keep it up!
With wetter weather and muddy puddles around during winter, students can sometimes get wet or muddy while playing outside. Please pack a spare change of clothes in your child’s bag so they can stay comfortable throughout the day.
Just a reminder to all families that we have a pupil free day on Tuesday 9th June (after the King's Birthday Public Holiday on Monday 10th June). Team Kids are running a full day program for those that require it.
Thank you,
Mark Pollard – Principal
