Shark petition 

I have been doing a petition to ban the import of shark fins because it is cruel and wasteful. It involves cutting a fin off a live shark and throwing it back in the water where it struggles to swim and die. You are more likely to die from a vending machine than from a shark. Other states and countries have already banned it like Canada, Fiji, US and Taiwan so Australia is being left behind. 

So far I have talked to senator member of the Green Party, Mark Dreyfus the MP and Leo a marine biologist at the Marine conservation. This week Mark Dreyfus read out a speech to the federation chamber. In five weeks I will get a yes or no answer. If it is a yes it will go through a different process I hope it is a yes!
