Message from the principals

Some kids think teachers are scary - where would they get that idea?

Halloween! The spooky edition!

We are so incredibly thankful to our Parent Association for such an incredible Halloween Disco.  It was so well organised and all the students, teachers and parents had an incredible time.  The outfits were amazing!  The time and effort that went into decorating the hall wowed everyone.  What a special treat for our children but also highlighting the amazing community we have at Brighton Beach Primary School.

Our grade 2 and 3 choir shone at assembly last week, along with our ever growing BBPS school rock band.  It always impresses us how incredibly talented students are when we respond to their suggestions and ideas. The confidence our students show performing in front of everyone continue to blow us away.

World Teachers’ Day is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the incredible work of our teachers and the difference they make in the lives of children every day. We are so grateful for the care, dedication, passion and commitment our BBPS teachers bring to their classrooms, inspiring curiosity, building confidence and supporting every student to reach their potential. Thank you to our wonderful teachers for all that you do to make Brighton Beach Primary School such a special place to learn and grow! Thanks to our families for the love and care you have shown our teachers today. We loved our morning tea along with the presents and beautiful messages and cards from our students.

Our staff are looking forward to our curriculum day on Monday 2nd of November around reporting.  Our teachers come together to moderate writing samples and learn about the new Department Reporting system.  We are incredibly grateful to Naomi Beales and Kirsten Braun for the hard work they have put into the planning of the day.

We hope everyone has a restful long weekend and we will see you on Wednesday!

Watch this space as we continue to spread gratitude, one of the three key elements in the work we do with The Resilience Project.
