Italian Exchange at Trinity
A life changing experience
My name is Riley Ferguson, and earlier this year I had the privilege of hosting an exchange student from Verona, Italy, named Claudio. I am very grateful to Trinity College for giving me this opportunity.
Trinity supported Claudio exceptionally well, helping him improve his English while also experiencing Australian culture. One of the highlights for him was playing AFL twice a week during classes, which gave him a real taste of life here in Perth.
For me, hosting Claudio was an unforgettable experience. We explored many parts of Perth together, some places I had never even visited myself. Sharing my home, school, and city with him gave me a new appreciation for my own culture, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone considering it.
Later this year, I will be travelling to Italy on my own exchange, and I cannot wait to immerse myself in the Italian way of life. I am incredibly thankful to Prof Favotto and our Italian program for making experiences like these possible.
If you are interested in participating in the Italian exchange program in the future, please contact Prof Favotto for more information.

TC Parent Council - Annual General Meeting
Chair's Report
With every year, the TC Parent Council (TCPC) aims to strengthen and maintain a connected and engaged community through events and fundraising initiatives. The past 12 months since our last Annual General Meeting has been no different.
For our annual Speaker Night, we welcomed Mr Daniel Campo who spoke about the loss of his son Nick Campo, through the lens of many road safety messages. This was a compelling insight into the importance of road safety, especially for our boys.
We were close to a sell out for our annual Parent Ball back in April - many thanks to all our attendees, as this allowed us to once again support the Year 12 Ball. Each year, the collaboration continues to align and grow between these two major events, and the TCPC would like to extend our thanks to the Year 12 Ball Coordinators, Mrs Nicola Gosatti, Mrs Janey Smith and Mrs Kendra Edmonds, and their dedicated team of Year 12 parents and other family members for making it a stress-free experience.
Love was certainly in the air at one of the standout moments of the year, our Parent Council Welcome Sundowner. This year it landed on Valentine’s Day, but we still welcomed over 400 parents; it truly was a wonderful celebration of community, connection, and shared #TCSpirit.
Our major fundraiser, the Tuition Fee Lottery, was a resounding success, raising funds that directly support the College and our students, and both the Second-Hand Book Sale, and Year 7 Parent Information Evening, both saw a healthy attendance growth and positive feedback for us moving forward.
In 2025, we have introduced a couple of new initiatives… We took the step of providing upcoming graduates (Classes of 2025 and 2026) and recent Old Boys (Classes of 2021-2024) a tiny ‘plot’ of Trinity College real estate and 'paved' legacy. This opportunity to purchase a Legacy Graduation Paver is still open for the year levels indicated above.
Another new initiative... Fathers and father figures are encouraged to save the date (Fri 31 October) for our inaugural "Feed @ Faraday’s" lunchtime event. It will be a chance to come along for lunch, meet new parents, and catch up with friends in the relaxed and welcoming setting of Faraday’s on St George’s Terrace, (which is owned by a TC parent, and many Old Boys are now employed there). See the 'upcoming events' page of this newsletter for more information - tickets on sale from Monday.
To the TCPC, take a bow! Together, we’ve achieved a great deal this year, none of which would have been possible without your dedication and time, ideas, and presence at meetings and activities - it all makes a difference. Thank you, Mrs Sarina Latouche (Vice Chair); Mrs Amanda Lohman (Secretary); Mrs Rachelle Rose (Treasurer); Mr David Brockett (General Member); Mr Ross Connell (General Member); Mrs Lili Patino (Parent Ball Coordinator/General Member); and Mrs Sandra Sceresini (Parent Ball Coordinator/General Member). We look forward to announcing our new TCPC members very soon.
Heartfelt thanks also to Miss Melanie Dunn, the greatest multi-tasker ever; the College Leadership Team for considering and supporting our ideas; and to all the dedicated teachers and staff, parents and carers, who have all contributed time and energy – big or small. Your support makes a real difference.
And finally, to Mrs Sabrina Hughes, the TCPC’s biggest cheerleader. Thank you for your calming demeanour, empathetic ear, and for being a voice of reason. Your unwavering support of the TCPC never goes unnoticed; thank you for always championing our ideas, backing new initiatives, and standing alongside us in every endeavour.

Enrolment Fees
In seeking to fulfil a ‘Spirit of Stewardship’ in effectively managing school resources, the College continually examines all aspects of fees, funding, charges and expenses. In such a large school this is an ongoing challenge. As part of this ongoing analysis, comparisons to like schools are also considered. After many years of no adjustment, the College has decided to adjust the Enrolment Fees for incoming students.
The Enrolment Fees for students where the fee is paid on or after 1 January 2026 will change as follows:
From 1 January 2026 the Enrolment Fee will increase to $3,000. This will include TOBA Membership. For students currently at the College and those who have paid the Enrolment Fee prior to 1 January 2026, the TOBA Membership fee has been and will continue to be charged in Year 12.
There will no longer be a sibling discount applied to the Enrolment Fee, i.e. the Enrolment Fee for all students (including siblings) will be $3,000.
As previously stated, the College is making these adjustments subsequent to a comparison with other similar schools and after consideration of the impact on parents. It should be noted that the College’s Enrolment Fees for a first child enrolled, and siblings is considerably lower than most PSA schools.
Parents of children currently at the College who want to pay the current Enrolment Fee for siblings at the current fee (for siblings) of $1,315 will need to complete the enrolment form and pay the required fee before the end of this year. Parents wanting to do this should email the College’s Registrar registrar@ trinity.wa.edu.au requesting the Enrolment Form.
The offer of enrolling siblings in this manner is subject to a successful interview process after payment of the Enrolment Fee. As such, the College reserves the right to reject the application and refund the fee should it be considered that the student is best not enrolled at the College.
